Ben Ford is a lot of things to a lot of people. The most important, however, is that he has always wanted to become a monster hunter.

Unfortunately, his girlfriend told him no, so now he spends his time creating monsters and telling stories about the intrepid souls who hunt them.

He’s also a behavior strategist for elementary students somewhere north or south of Kentucky. Who can really say for sure?

I think I wanted to be an artist since I can remember but never actually thought to "live from it", if that's something a kid might think of (what I did thought a lot was to be the Yokozuna or the Undertaker from the WWF).

I did a couple of summer courses on drawing comics when I was a teen. I studied graphic design thinking it might be related to drawing (it was not) but still learned a lot of stuff that I still use today like composition or color theory. After I graduated the job market for graphic designers was horrible (surprise!) and had to work a as a cook (yes, yes, I know, I was a meme).

I never stopped drawing and one day, someone asked me if I could do the coloring of their tabletop game project. This was eye opening and it was the moment that I knew I wanted to be an professional artist. Since then, i have worked as an illustrator for several TTRPG projects, worked creating custom tattoo designs online, created concept art for small indie games and worked a lot to get into magic the gathering and failed horribly (stupid and sexy Wizards of the Coast).

Finally, during the pandemic, with a lot of free time on my hands decided to dip my toes on the comics world and never looked back. Now, here we are, working on No One Gets Hurts this awesome urban supernatural story that I hope you enjoy a lot!
