Jeffers is gone…does any body care?

Get ready for the eighth issue of the wild and unpredictable Jonly Nonly series! Originally created under the pressure of a 24-hour comics challenge in 2016, this comic throws the rules out the window and invites you into its absurd, self-aware world.

Join Jonly, Earf, and Calvereena as they face a crisis: their friend Jeffers is missing! Why did Jeffers disappear? That my friends, is the big question here. 

The search is on, but in Jonly Nonly, finding a friend isn’t simple. The gang jumps into their inter-dimensional van, which confusingly possesses the ability to travel through time and dimensions (sorta like the name says), taking them on a quest across the “y2cl-verse”. Prepare for cross-overs with characters from other comics on y2cl.net, including Sergeant Blinky and the notorious Pot and Kettle!

This issue features a unique art style, openly admitting to using “pre-done images that I just moved around” (*cough*lazyass*cough*) in Photoshop. But what really sets it apart is the humor:

• Crude and Explicit Gags: Calvereena is a constant source of lowbrow humor, perpetually accompanied by the sound effect “Fap fap fap” and sharing explicit dreams of “*&)#$ b@nged by a $($ of *(&@&$%”.

• Deliberately Bad Jokes: Jeffers’ jokes are so awful they literally drive characters to violence.

• Relentless Meta-Commentary: The comic constantly breaks the fourth wall. Captions argue with each other, debate the merits of “way inside jokes” that “no one read”, point out background details, and even insert jarring, dark philosophical text.

Jonly Nonly #8 – The Search for Jeffers is a chaotic, self-aware, and unapologetically crude comic that prioritizes gags and meta-commentary over traditional storytelling. It’s a peek into the y2cl.net universe, filled with “easter eggs for the fans”(even if the comic jokes that it doesn’t have any fans).
