Q: A Brief background about yourself and how you got into comics?
I am an artist and writer based in the USA with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications. I have always been interested in drawing and writing stories ever since I was a kid. I grew up reading comicstrips such as Peanuts and Garfield from the newspaper but what really got me into comics were a Pokémon graphic novel and most of all the discontinued Sonic the Hedgehog comics by Archie Comics that I read a lot when I was a kid. The Archie Sonic comics used to have different pencillers working on the stories and it was creatively inspiring for me to see the many different art styles. I kept studying the different styles and it helped shape the style that I have in my work today. It also got me wanting to become an artist for that sonic comic series but unfortunately by the time I graduated college in 2017 and had more time to focus on being a comic artist the series was cancelled by then. However, over the years since 2005 or so I always made sure I had time to work on my own original indie comic project called Let’s Go Now!.

Q: What are your favourite comic book characters, Indie and/or mainstream?
My interest in comics has changed over the years but now it’s mostly indie. I used to read the Ultimate Spider-Man comics for example but now I read indie comics and graphic novels such as reMIND by Jason Brubaker, Mirage Studios’ TMNT and a few mainstreams such as Marvel’s Star Wars and IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog. However when it comes to characters, it is hard to choose, I don’t have any favourite characters.

Q: What kind of characters excite you in comics?
Characters that are visually interesting, I love a good character design.

Q: What kind of stories should your audience expect from you?
All-ages comics is what I specialize in.

Q: What’s the last comic book you read?
I have a huge backlog of comics that I need to catch up with (and it’s still growing) but the last comic I’ve read from front to back was a creatively inspiring indie comic called Mossvale by Ageless Press. Can’t wait for the next issue!

Q: Can you describe your latest project without spoilers?
My project, Let’s Go Now!, is about alien siblings at war with each other. It is sci-fi and fantasy and for all-ages. I have been working on this comic series (and possibly a prose novel, I am working on a prequel story for my series and I am considering it to be a novel) since 2005. It is earlier than 2005 if I count a character I used from a story I wrote and drew before that.

Q: How did you develop the concept behind your latest project?
Years and years of trial and error along with mashing together different story ideas I’ve had over the years.
Panels from issue 1
Q: Who else other than you collaborated on the project?
It is only me, I am the creator, writer, artist, and designer of my Let’s Go Now! series.

Q: How was your experience collaborating with the rest of the team?
I am working on Let’s Go Now! on my own.

Q: What's your next project, any ideas you're working with?
I have a couple of other ideas, they’re in the same genre and target audience however the art style or medium may change. They’re all in the early development stages still, so it’s hard to give a definite answer for this.

Q: Where can people buy your books?
I use Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing to self-publish my Let’s Go Now! comic. It is available on Amazon.com. More information can be found on my website www.letsgonowcomic.com.

Q: Any words for fellow creators?
Making comics can be hard work! If you have a story that you strongly want to tell, keep going and never give up!
