WILD TALES FROM THE IMAGINATION

WILD NORTH is an independent artist-run comic book publisher from Darwin, Northern Territory of Australia. Since launching the first issue of Wild North Comics in September 2021, we have continued to publish a regular anthology WILD NORTH COMICS as well as graphic novels and other creator-owned titles from artists and writers from across Australia. 

 

We created Wild North to celebrate the art of comics, illustration and independent publishing culture. We love publishing but we also curate exhibitions, organise workshops and film screenings and film festivals.

 

Wild North has exhibited  Radio Gnome Gallery, Darwin Visual Arts gallery, Muse of   is also committed to showcasing art and writing and exhibitions at the Museum and Art Gallery of the NT, Darwin Visual Arts Gallery, the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre (Katherine) as well as a public art hosted by the City of Darwin Lightbox Exhibition.

The Wild North Comics collective has participated in the NT Writers Festival, Darwin Fringe Festival, Darwin Zine Fair, Geekfest 2022, Tropicon Festival and Oz Comic Con and Supanova. Our artists have been featured on ABC Radio, The NT News, Off The Leash Magazine, Channel NT and ABC 24 national television.

 

In 2023, Wild North Arts hosted the inaugural Wild North Comic Con, the Northern Territory's first dedicated comic convention, which will be continuing in 2024.
